There’s a lot to learn from Joseph of old. Look for blessings in adversity. Save for a rainy day. Forgive more. God will bless and prosper us and give us more peace in our hearts as we follow Joseph’s example.

One day the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. Most of what I have learned and continue to learn is from his teachings. I am so glad to share this with you.

On Good Friday the contemplation of many is around the sacrifice God made of his son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived his live to fulfill God’s plan. His focus remained on his ultimate goal and it brought the gift of salvation through its fulfillment.

“In the Beginning, there was the word,” this quote embodies the context of this article. It states a simple truth; our words, like those of the Creator, are powerful. When they have the power of the energy of thought intention behind them, they manifest.

While there is much contention about when the Age of Aquarius actually begins, many suggest it has arrived, representing the birth of a new age of humankind. When I look around I certainly see lots of change, and I’m not just talking about an economic downturn, banking system failure or wars. I’m seeing a fascinating, exciting and an encouraging shift.

God is all about motivation. The little voice inside of us that tells us that we should do something today or we may not have the opportunity tomorrow, may be coming from God. We have all heard the voice and we have all discarded the message and we have all regretted discarding the message. God does not want us to fail and His existence is a benefit, not a hindrance. Take a look at the Scriptures into the account of the deliverance of the Hebrew people from Egyptian bondage. Hundreds of thousands of people would have to be motivated to move out of a way of life and familiar territory into a whole new realm. They suffered tremendously by the hands of the slave drivers, but they had become somewhat accustom to these persecutions. Now, God was offering them their liberty and a new kind of commitment, but there was so much that they did not know. There were Moses and Pharaoh and plagues and now there was a commandment, an assignment that if followed would be fantastic, but if not followed certain death. That knowledge was a tremendous motivation to obey the instructions of Moses.

Wake UP! Stand accounted for. What are you doing? Where are You? Who is this person who calls itself by your familiarized name? What are you experiencing? You half-dazedly arise in the morning, follow a ritualistic meaningless routine of sorts,

When I get in my car to drive to the store, I immediately focus my attention on what I’m doing…I’d better because if I don’t we both know what can happen! When I get on my high-speed catamaran sailboat or my even faster sailing iceboat, I just naturally focus my attention on precisely what I’m doing and what’s going on around me because I want the voyage to include both top quality enjoyment and personal survival.

One minute after we die we will not be able to sign one cheque. And, one day, when we die, when everything will be revealed and known, won’t it be tremendous to know that someone came to know Jesus Christ, as Saviour and Lord, as a result of the way we used our money. Invest wisely and we need to hear this clearly in these financially dangerous days. Man can love money. Man can be tempted by money. Man can worship money and things that money can buy. To use money in a right way is a spiritual battle. Jesus taught that we cannot serve God and Mammon, the god of money. Some have tried to do this over these past months and years and we are now paying the price for ignoring what Almighty God has said and taught in His Word. Be prepared to give up what you cannot keep, to gain what you cannot lose.

Many of us hold our spiritual and religious values very deeply in our hearts.
