Life Balance and the Need For Solitude – Lessons From Nature

We seek many things in this world to bring us happiness and inner peace. We set goals and work hard to achieve them. But in doing so, we often neglect our inner needs–the desires of our spirit. We struggle with the push-pulls between inner and outer worlds. Quiet time alone renews us and helps restore our life balance. Solitude is not a luxury.

Encouraging Bible Verses – Inspirational Bible Verses For Life’s Hardships

Since the start of the human race, daily living has always involved adversity. Although life tribulations can be painful, knowing the Lord’s purpose for them can bring comfort and hope. God’s messages found in biblical verses make it known that suffering has purpose.

What Does God Want Me to Do?

One time Jesus was talking to God and he said this “I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you have given me to do.” We are called to bring Glory to God on earth and we do this by finishing the assignment me has given us to do. Do you know your assignment?

Misfit Mystic

If there’s one thing that going through hell will give you, it’s perspective. Hell is funny that way. Once you’ve been there, nothing ever looks quite the same again. Not that I would recommend that particular route as a path to spiritual consciousness, but if you do find yourself on that path, and if you survive it, it certainly does get your attention.

A Guide to Wiccan Beliefs

Wicca and witchcraft are often used synonymously without knowledge or understanding of wiccan beliefs. Wicca is the name that was adopted by nature based witches to distance their religion from the popular, much feared and persecuted view of witches in general. Wicca or Wica actually means wise.

Not Only Forgiving, But Forgetting

Someone you love so dearly has done the unthinkable to you. In all the years that you have known and possibly grown up with her, you would never think that this person you’ve called your best friend, would treat you this way. To your surprise, you find that you have been talked about, and even scorned for something so trivial and meaningless, but not to the point that it didn’t affect you when you realized who it came from.

Are You a Prisoner to Your Story?

Many people firmly believe that they are their stories. We can become so attached to it that it defines us, and limits our experience of life. We forget that it is our past, not our present. This does not necessarily have to be so. We need not be bound by our past, or defined by our story. We are what we believe ourselves to be. And we are free to be anything we choose.

Alright – You’ve Learned From It – Now Move On!

From one day to the next, in order to have a full experience of life, we’re going to make so-called mistakes and missteps. The key is to leave them immediately in the past and transform the behavior. That’s how we have the triumphs and victories that make life so sweet.

Characteristics of Innocence

Have you ever observed the interactions of a baby or even a toddler during the first few months of his or her life? It would be a pure joy if you took the time, as he or she does, just to stop and see what their little minds find so peculiar and interesting in a world we so much take for granted. There we find the characteristics of innocence, the way God sees it.

Walking at Midnight

The energies of the midnight hour combined with the yin moon are exquisite and of the highest spiritual order. There are many ways to meditate. I am one who has never had an awful lot of success sitting in lotus or cross legged position with hands in chin mudra, spine most erect, body perfectly still and mind quieted.

God’s Stimulus Plan

The federal government cannot solve the biggest problem America faces: we have been living beyond our means and cannot sustain the profligate lifestyle that has brought us to this sorry pass. This is not simply a budget crisis. It is also a spiritual crisis in which we are grappling with one of the seven deadly sins: greed. We cannot spend our way out of debt. To solve our problems, we must return to the core values that have made this nation great. We need God’s stimulus Plan.

“To Him Who Has More Will Be Given” – What This Bible Verse May Truly Mean

I used to wonder about this New Testament verse spoken by Yeshua Ben-Joseph (Jesus). Why would a loving Infinite take away whatever meager wealth a person in poverty has? But one day the simple meaning of this verse hit me. I would rephrase the translation of Yeshua’s words slightly.
