Benjamin Franklin was a dear friend to the great revivalist George Whitefield. A great move of the Spirit was encouraged in Pennsylvania and financed by Franklin. Whitefield was the orator and Franklin the facilitator. The Holy Spirit brought the power.

The power of God is sadly lacking in churches throughout America. Yet the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (1Corinthians 4:20). America has reduced God to a Bible study, rather than a Person to whom we relate. Get ready for a great awakening as God comes in power to shake His people from spiritual apathy and complacency.

D.L. Moody is a great general that God used to evangelize the world. He was an uneducated shoe salesman who God used mightily. What was the defining difference that caused him to be so successful in ministry?

Many people search for answers to their problems but overlook the obvious—the truth. They dance around the fact that they are over their head in debt, or a sinner that needs repentance, or whatever they are guilty of. The truth may hurt, but it is the only thing that will set you free. Swallow your pride, stop your delusions, and do what you need to do. Jesus changes lives by making people come to grips with the truth. He alters one’s purpose by amending the value system.
