Ahhh yes, the interesting and always controversial topic of revenge spells! Are they ethical?

A reverent passion has compelled us to a place where we have two integrated virtues: preparation has delivered us an unexplained confidence in the surety of the good way, and we’re ready as we can be for testing; which is always coming. We have power for the day so we can live safely for truth. And our truth vanquishes fear.

There are many who pursue spiritual goals without giving credit to the man who made it possible for us to aim for the spiritual heights in the first place: Jesus. This is like swimming without giving credit to the water. Spiritual ambitions that ignore Jesus are founded in people and not in the divine and therefore liable to be flawed.

The objective of the occurrences in life is straightforward. They’re intended for our learning. When it’s considered we live in a seedbed – always destined to grow – we’re able to see why life gets ‘hard’. For that moment we’re turned from God’s will; we’ve refused that instant to learn. To accept judgments as they’re meted out is our first purpose. (Acceptance is not about ‘liking’. We do not have to like what we accept.)

The choice is simple. Making the right choice is where most of us find the struggle.

Finding “joy in all things” is an exhortation from the Apostle Paul. How do we do this, and how does finding joy benefit us?

When others aren’t looking it is always easy to think about doing something and know we can get away with it. However, we don’t really get away with it. We know we did it and have to live with it.

God answers prayers. He just does not always answer them the way that we desire.

A strong walk with God is not just about service to a church. Its foundation must be based in a personal relationship that starts with being still.

Day one of a New Year, for many, holds an irrational mix of hope and forlornness. It’s where the rubber hits the road, and the start of that journey brings thoughts of loss and discomfort despite hopes for change, growth and renewal. It’s a funny in-between land we find ourselves in. It’s normal to experience a sense of grief as the New Year kicks off. Sometimes we want our lengthy goodbyes.

Politely the police officer came to my window and asked me for my driver’s license and registration as he looked inside the car. As I handed him my IDs he asked me if I knew why he had stopped me; I answered that my seat belt was not on. In this particular event I broke the law and I deserved to be punished.

The written word is one of God’s ways to bring forth communication between Him and us and between human kind with each other. His own Word has served as a road map for our lives, and it “is profitable for reproof, for correction, for doctrine, and instruction in righteousness.” Through history, mankind has used diaries, letters and other forms of writing to communicate its inner most feelings and teachings to following generations.
