I was stopped in my tracks when I heard the statement, God is a God of grace and he will forgive me for what I am doing. As we spoke on the phone and this promising and bright young man explained to me that he was leaving his wife and children for another woman I was heartbroken for all of them. He explained that his wife took him for granted but I could see the foolishness in his thinking. Then he made the statement that made me stop in my tracks. I was glad I was on the phone. In too many settings I have heard others use the same twisted logic. God is a God of grace and he will forgive me for what I am doing. But just what would I say this time?

It was a scene that had been played out so many times before. As the pastor was sitting on his couch I listened as he recounted the whole story. The young man in his congregation had shown such promise at first. The pastor had poured himself into the young man and expected great things of him. Along the way there had been issues that had surfaced, but with patience and great hope the Man of God had taken them in stride and done all he could to bring the young man back on track. Then, almost without warning it happened. The young man left the church and was blaming the pastor. Now the pastor was dealing with discouragement and was wondering if he should even continue in the ministry.

It’s the powerful anointed prayer of a thankful believer to The Lord our provider. We have all heard that there is power in prayer and the prayer of thanksgiving can provide the presence of The Lord like nothing else.

As above-So below, As without-So within, two very old sayings describing the correspondences of life. When the seven main chakras or energy centres of the human body are balanced there is a greater realisation of truth in the world. These are points that have been well documented but are sometimes hard to understand.

The destiny of the boy child was set by this. To speak the truth, always and on all occasions, was going to get this small baby who’d grow to manhood into great portions of trouble; and that to achieve the will of the Father. And not only is there the unrelenting will of the Christ to speak truth, the Son of God knew every nuance of each heart. He could divine thought and understand the person’s rationale behind it. Nothing is hidden.

And today we especially pray for you, who are healthy, and who have bread to put on your table, who have parents or children, and brothers and sisters to share such a beautiful day with. We pray that you remember the reason why today you can do this, and that you give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for all the blessings He has given you.

God is not pleased when we get beside ourselves. From time to time one gets blessed to have a nice fat bank account, homes, cars and all the material things in life. This is good as long as you don’t allow things to make you lose touch with reality and the people that care and love you. This just some food for thought.
