From the prophet Isaiah comes this inspirational message to our spirituality – the fervent love of the Lord God redeeming his people. Come and know the love of God resplendent in his belief in us!

I just won’t stop saying “Thank You” Lord for all that you are and for making me a creature of your own choosing. It is because of your grace that I was not made some lifeless or an inanimate object such as a stone, a stick, or even a wild beast of the fields. Out of grace and pure love, You created me in Your own image and breathed air into my nostrils so that I may have and enjoy the fullness of life. For this I’ll forever say thank you, my Lord.

Ezekiel 18 is a warning to come into time with the beat of God. God is everywhere and he and his judgment is certainly inherent in this life, not to mention in the life to come – where judgment will be perfectly precise; a “science” and not merely the general “art-form” it is in this life (in the presence of the evils of this current final age).

Perhaps the most significant difference between a cult and a religion is the fact that in the latter the veneration is directed towards God, whereas in a cult the love and devotion is directed towards itself. The leader is either God-manifest or God himself. There is no room for question or doubt.

I guess we think if we speak or act negatively about the blessings of others, it will somehow diminish the person(s) or their blessings? Really, this type of behavior is shameful and a direct violation of the tenth commandment.

Spiritual development comes in all shapes and sizes, all types of experience, voluntary or involuntary. Spirit is the motivation behind all experience and the essence of a purposeful life. At times our growth and development is almost frantic or in our face as if we are running out of time to comprehend it all. At other times it moves so slowly that it seems to be stagnant or elusive, with long periods where nothing in particular seems to be happening. To me spiritual development is a two-part process and it takes the combination of those two parts to make spiritual development possible.

In order to avoid war we must have peace. But why should peace exist amongst us when there is clearly an imbalance in society. Should the poor be satisfied while the rich get wealthier? Should the oppressed be content while their persecutors persecute them?

The big bang theory makes a lot of sense until we ask the question what caused the bang in the first place. If we can answer this question then the next one after that would be what caused, that which caused the bang?

So many people consider themselves “spiritual” rather than religious, nowadays. We think about, read, learn and practice pursuits for the health and nourishment of our soul. Because our soul is occupying our body, we must realize that one of the ways of connecting with our soul’s needs is by understanding what is going on in our body.

Grace is a person who lives in my heart each moment. Grace comes to me in a personal, intimate relationship with Christ. I can’t talk and write and think my way to grace any more than I can talk and think and write my way to friendship. It’s a relationship thing. And the amazing part of grace is that I don’t have to seek it or earn it. It’s a gift, freely given. I accept Jesus, I get grace.

When you feel challenged and stressed, that is when you should make a stronger effort to visualize the positive changes you desire.
