The moon gives us the opportunity to reflect upon and bring a new awareness to our doing. We can easily approach life only trying to be as productive as possible. I had an experience some time ago that I consider a real gem. It gave me a short insight into our true selves. I can never go back to being the way I was!. The changes started because I saw it. It opened up and I could see inside. At first I didn’t recognise it.

It’s your spiritual duty to diligently observe thoughts and seek improvement. The pursuit of inner improvement isn’t a luxury, but a necessity. In my case, I believe, it meant a good life, or a ruined one. It’s scary to think about where I’d be if I hadn’t realized I needed to think differently, and hadn’t gotten on the road to correct thinking.

Trusting is not an easy thing to do. so as giving faith. But in life there are things that are only visible through faith and the only way to see it is through trust.

As I look around the world I live in, I’ve noticed that this is not exactly what I’d call: the Garden Of Eden. In fact, judging by the garbage I read about in the daily newspaper and the trash and greed I see on the 6 o’clock TV news, the world around me can be a hard place in which to live day-after-day and year-after-year. The fact is, life on this side of Heaven, we might say is “the pits!”

These disciplines both require and hone the biblical virtue of Prudence. These are the perfect complement to a life where we have trouble with the vices but we really don’t have any problem mustering the motivation to invest positively in the ‘engaged’ spiritual life.

How do we get things right in the Church of Jesus Christ? How can we get things right in the Church of Jesus Christ, and in other walks of life and business too? We tend to swing from one extreme to the other and in Scotland in particular we have suffered from this quite a lot! In Psalm 73 Asaph, the writer shows us how we might be able to get things right, although we must admit that is seldom easy.

There is that which seems evil but is not evil. Every effort done to conquer attitudes that are merely tolerable towards something better are efforts done listed in eternity.

Know the symptoms when one starts to fall. Every effort done to overcome wrong motives are efforts seen by the higher Force – God, and is listed in eternity.

This is not just a starting point to a tennis championship, but also to our life. It is in actuality not just a starting point alone, but a filler and pillar for a full-filling life.
