Life is always filled with ups and downs. It’s never smooth, there are always obstacles along the route to destiny. You work like an elephant and eat like an ant; your peanut salary cannot pay for your monthly bills talk less of buying your daily needs. You then ask, why me? What are the things I’m not getting?

Happiness has no distinct measure and is rather a relative term used to express the state of mind. Even within a family, the husband may derive extreme happiness when he watches a favorite program on television, while the wife seeks the same level of happiness when she cooks a lavish meal and the family enjoys that meal praising her all the way. The reverse can be true too.

People may reject Christianity because they think they hate God. Primarily because they think He hates them, so they are going to hate Him right back. In reality, what they are hating are their own thoughts and concepts of God. Set aside your preconceived thoughts for a moment. Let’s ask Him…you will be surprised at what He really thinks!

The most powerful weapon against fear and worry is scripture. You can find a scripture that pertains to your circumstances no matter what they are and lean on their power to reassure you.

The real trick is when you give up on the idea that you know everything and pick a loftier goal, to learn from everything. The kingdom of God is in you and all around you, it hangs in clouds, it’s carried by the wind, hidden in the ocean, and roaming the great plains. You can feel it in the mist, hear it in the stream, find it in a candle, or soaring over head. In fact, all of the beauty that we see in the world around us is His handiwork. Peer into creation long enough and you cannot help but find the Creator. (Part 1 Creation Series).
