Reading the scripture above in the amplified translation makes it clearer, it says, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled (and) stimulated with the (holy) spirit”. The fact that you’ve received the Holy spirit doesn’t mean you’re lost your mind as some people think! It means you’re functioning under the control and influence of the Holy Spirit twenty-four hours every day. That’s how God wants you to live.

In teaching the disciples how to pray, the Lord Jesus gave them a format; he said “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come …” (Matthew 6:9-10). He taught them to pray in expectation of the coming Kingdom of God because at the time, he hadn’t died and the world was being dominated by another kingdom, which is the kingdom of darkness.

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy (Corinthians 14:1) The Bible says “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same spirit” (I Corinthians 12:4 CEV). Meaning that, there are several gifts that God imparts to His children through the agency of the Holy Spirit. But from our opening scripture, we can decipher that the gift of prophecy ranks above all the other gifts of the spirit that you should desire. God wants you to operate the gift of prophecy.

Let God arise, let his enemies he scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him (Psalm 68:1). When God arises in a man’s life, all His enemies are scattered and all those that hate Him flee in terror! The question then is: how does God arise in a person’s life? Is it by the person praying, “O God arise in my life, put my enemies to fight” what must you do for God to arise in that situation you’ve found yourself?

Whoso ever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father.

When you were born again, you were born into a life of absolute liberty in Christ. You became free to live, free to serve God, free to reign and free to love. However, as Christians, the bible admonishes that we use our liberty in Christ rightly.

Faith, the Bible says, is the substance of what you hope for, and the title-deed of unseen realities. In other words, faith means that the things you were hoping for are now your present-hour possessions. This is where the demonstration of faith comes to play. If it is true that what you hoped for is now yours, then you ought to act that way. For example, you might have prayed to God for something concerning yourself, believing he will do it. If you truly believe that God heard your prayer, then you shouldn’t come back tomorrow and pray about the same thing again. You should now begin to act like someone who has received from God:that’s how to put your faith to work.

When I give readings I tell people I don’t do pasts or futures. It is a time and place where people can get real with each other and witness a true change from within. When someone can be a true witness and presence for you, you have the opportunity to emerge from something that has bound you for years. You are like the jewel that can suddenly shine in your own light. This can only happen in the moment, not the past or the future.

Every moment can be consecrated to Truth and Beauty. It does not have to take long to awaken to our True Nature. When the Sun comes out the clouds disappear.
