Somehow as believers in Christ, we have come to believe that our life’s journey is meant to be lived out of our own strength, to the best of our ability and when we finally become exhausted, tired and weak the Lord finally picks us up and carries us the rest of the way. My wife, Sally, and I really treasure and value our time in our community. We actually just moved into our brand new home we built in Kerrville. We are excited about our home being a sanctuary for some and an open door for others. Between Young Life and The Soul Café…our church…we really feel like it will be a revolving door of fun and spiritual growth for us and our community. Part of that will include hosting folks from church at a program we call “Dinner for 8.”

It is time to get rid of all belief in masters and higher beings and start to know how to become one. The days of false gurus who travel the world telling people that they are special chosen ones, that they channel higher beings, who have given them messages for humanity or for charging exorbitant prices for these messages is over. And certainly we should question if it was ever ethical in the first place.
