The other day I was talking to some folks about how important it is to continually grow in ones spirituality when I was asked a very important question. How do I know what my spirituality really is let alone continue to grow it? I’m not qualified to define a person’s spirituality to them and neither is anyone else. What I can tell you is this, it is vital to your life’s balance to find out who you believe is your creator and have a relationship.

This is an article about the root problem that forms the basis of our many problems, from the shooter who randomly kills on campus, to the worry that plagues us daily; to the restlessness we feel when we are bored. This problem is seldom explained adequately. Tragedies are usually explained by shrugging our shoulders and guessing that a compassionate God allows these things to happen because he lovingly grants us free will.

It is a well known fact that people become more spiritual as they grow old. Yet the reason why young people fail to appreciate religion and spirituality is little understood as it is never explained logically. It is highly significant that when Jesus Christ’s disciples returned from their initial experience of outreach and mission, He saw the importance of withdrawing from the draining demands of people. There are vital lessons here from which we can all benefit in physical and spiritual ways. When Jesus ministers there is always enough to go round, and even some left over. Whatever your need is today, He can meet that need. He has all the essential resources.

In first understanding just what is meant by counsel, we might then find it easier to come to terms with accepting it when we have strayed or slipped up at some point. It will most likely happen to each of us at least once for we are all imperfect humans, subject to fall short of Jehovah’s desires no matter how hard we aspire to attain them.

When are drugs forbidden to Christians, and when are they not? They are not allowed when they are contrary to God’s law and/or man’s law. They are allowed when they are needed to keep us alive and they are not contrary to either God’s or Man’s laws.

I discovered the word “agnostic” several years ago, and I realized that, at the time, the word described my position on spirituality. I refused to believe in anything simply by virtue of faith. I refused to believe in any concept that I could not get my own mind around. (And you know what?… that’s ok. I don’t think any of us are expected to believe in anything blindly.)
