Why do we need faith? The purpose of faith is to respond to the three basic needs that lie at the root of the human condition: the need for redemption, sanctification and exaltation. Without these three states of salvation we are lost. All three depend on a profound and earnest belief in God and His glorious trinity. If God is absent from our discussion on humanity then we sacrifice our salvation. Through communion with God we can solve all the issues which currently threaten to extinguish our planet.

The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins is a book I have had laying around for a while now and have been meaning to get around to reading. Now, finally, I have picked it up and begun reading it.

As Americans, many claim to be Christians. Other nations view America as a Christian nation, and perhaps we practice many principles of the Christian faith in our society, in our government, and as the basis for our law. But is everyone living in America a Christian in reality?

Let us focus a moment on this most important point: Satan did not first try to allure Eve by the loveliness of the fruit. He started by attacking man’s greatest strength – faith in God’s Word. The real source of sin is unbelief, just as the source of righteousness is faith. When Satan had succeeded in getting Eve to disbelieve in the command God had given, it was easy to bring about the eating of the fruit.

Personally, I can’t get excited about what has become known as the anthropic principle. But as we have been considering The God Delusion over the past few posts, and the anthropic principle is referred to in Dawkins’ central argument, I thought we ought to look it over.

Reiki is a Japanese word to describe a system of enlightenment. It’s an alternative hands on healing technique. The word reiki itself can be broken down into 2 parts. Rei refers to universal life force energy. It’s that higher mind, that higher consciousness that’s filled with unconditional love, compassion, peace and wisdom.

We look for the one source, the one book, the one philosophy that can give us all the answers. Then we can just relax. We’ll have it all figured out. But how do we know who the best spiritual teacher is? How do we know who to listen to?

Injustice. You may have experienced the unrelenting power of injustice in your own life. You may have been lied about, talked down, convicted without cause for a crime you did not commit. You may not have been thrown into a physical prison cell, but there are many ways to feel as if you are behind bars.

If you desire success but do not make time to avail of the benefits of meditation then you are depriving your future of the perfection awaiting within as the oak awaits within the acorn. You will be able to relax faster if you listen to binaural beats but do not dwell too much on the sounds, as they are a catalyst to transport you to a higher plane. They work magically too with curative enhancing abilities when perfected through daily practice. It is beneficial to maintain a journal so when you have awakened from your meditative stance write down the thoughts that arise.

This is surely old news to us. No, not for some. To the person who’s never had knowledge of God, through family or descendant, now is the time. God’s yours as much as the pastor’s kid whose family has a generations-old faith.

A month hardly goes by without a major disaster of one sort or another happening somewhere in our world; perhaps they always will. The closeness of these events signifies how interlinked all of us are because we all feel its tremors. There are no boundaries where disasters are concerned because as a humanity we are very human and feel each other’s happiness and pangs of pain. When the Twin Towers were annihilated, when hurricane Katrina, when the floods in Pakistan, the starvation in Somalia, the floods in Australia and the bombs in Russia and now the difficulties in the middle East especially Tunisia and Egypt we always stand united around the globe. The greatest weapon we have against rigid extremist terrorism is love and thus it shall behoove us to display that power with wild abandon.

In chapter 4 of The God Delusion, (Why There Almost Certainly is No God), we encounter Richard Dawkins’ main argument. Let’s first take a look at the reasoning and then we will deliberate.
