Many of us celebrate the Christmas Season, while not understanding its true significance. A problem can be very personal, relational, work-based or can be a minor issue. Whatever that is, it has a message for us, meaning that it has something to say to us. I don’t know anybody who has not come across a problem in his or her life. From a major problem such as a loss, to a minor one such as not being able to find where your new shirt is, a problem is a problem and it has a certain way of communicating things to us: Mostly about who we are at this moment, who we have been in the past and who we’d like to be in the future. One of the truly great and inspiring facts which emerges from the entire Scriptures is the reality that Almighty God will never abandon His Chosen People. He will never walk away from Israel and choose another people. That is something the world has to come to terms with and the quicker it does so the sooner will certain issues be resolved. Do some consider that God is not strong enough to lift them up to where He wants them to be, rescuing them from whatever predicament they are in? Jesus has a word for the weary, wherever they are, and no matter how sore or pained or dark their situation. Jesus has a word, and sometimes all that is needed is a morsel of bread and a sip from His Cup!
