What does it take to really launch your faith career? The first thing you need is courage.

It was not that they didn’t have a place they could go instead of staying with Jesus. Rather it was that, wherever else they may have chosen to go, nobody was capable of giving them the benefits that accrued to them as a result of their relationship with Jesus. He had the means of putting them in possession of eternal life. That is a great benefit to have, and it is obtainable nowhere else but from Jesus alone, the Holy One of God, Who put them in living touch with Almighty God as nothing else and no one else can. If you know that, you will never seek to part company with Jesus.

Think about this: In our everyday experience, just about everything seems to have a beginning and an end. In fact, science proves that even things that look the same throughout our lifetime, like the sun and stars, are gradually depleting. The sun is using up it’s fuel at millions of tons each second.

I recently had a conversation with a woman named Janie who wondered if she is psychic. She told me that she often knows who is calling her phone before she answers it, believes she can tell what her dog is thinking, and finds that she is intuitive about numerous other things. Most people wonder at one time or another if there is something more to their “I knew who was calling” thing than meets the Third Eye.

There is a gap between the thought process and the actual manifestation in the physical world. That gap is your safety valve. In that gap, you can perfect the vision of what you have intended. After you have perfected the vision, you let it go. Much like encircling it in a bubble and then releasing it. We all have played with this when we were little. This is what detachment is about.

Sometimes the advice you get on faith may seem contradictory. The previous article seemed to advocate ACTION, while this one advocates INACTION. Both are true.

Standing up for our faith is a noble act indeed and appropriate as the Lord leads. However, there is one mandate that we have been given that we simply cannot neglect. This command is the embodiment of everything Jesus stands for and that is to LOVE which is the fulfillment of God’s law.

You must be able to give up the very good in order to receive the best. Satan will offer you something you might think is an opportunity of a lifetime in order to keep you from getting the best God has to offer you. It requires you to pass up any other offers and wait on God to bring about every circumstance in his perfect timing.

I want to address some peoples ideas about the world, the universe and their own personal life within the physical structure you call your world. It’s easy to get led astray here because there are so many divergent views about the method of emergence of the universe, some believing that it is some happenstance occurrence in the distant past that began with an accidental explosion of some sort and through chance, self aware consciousness was born from inert, dead matter. You, being self aware consciousness, would of course be concerned if you actually believed this story.

There are periods in one’s reading on Leadership that certain vital sentences and profound piercing penetrating thoughts jump out at you, and you have to record them. I think of a colleague, now gone to his reward, who in the early days of his ministry went around every senior minister and pastor in the city and ‘interviewed’ them to glean all he could from their variety of experiences. What wisdom! And, leaders need wisdom, and there is not a lot of wisdom and integrity around in these present times. When people have asked me over the years to teach them to pray, I have been brief in what I have taught, but have encouraged each individual simply to go and pray. Just go and do it and tell me how you got on.
