Poverty is a language of the world. You can see poverty everywhere. Even the most powerful and riches nations have people suffering from poverty, lack of basic needs such as clothing, food and shelter. In some countries, poverty is rampant as a result of different factors such as lack of basic education and political corruption. Indeed corruption is a disease and a troubling reality.

It’s always been tough being a parent. In the old times, raising a child must have been a nightmare every single day with the parent having to worry about sickness with no cure or the next country deciding to conquer your home and your land. Yet times have a changed a lot. But what about parenting? Specifically, what about rearing and raising a Christian child in a world full of chaos?

That is pretty nasty and negative programming. This cannot be the intention of the good God that is credited with having created these teachings. So what is the missing part that could make sense of this, and how can we gain the benefit that some have gained from religious teachings.

The word “jelly” has to do with something soft. The sea animal “jellyfish” derived its name from there because of the soft nature of its body. The human flesh is another example of a soft tissue. Because soft tissues are associated with weakness, human nature and its emotions, physical and bodily desires, sensual appetites, etc, any action that tends towards one’s own interest or pleasure is regarded as something done in the flesh.

It is easy enough to blame God in the cases of unrealized promises. Being a covenant-keeping God, God is never the culprit behind your not experiencing the reality of His promises in your life. God has promised and wants the best for you. Unrealized promises can be traceable to lack of confidence in God.

We do not need to be reminded again that all good blessings and riches come from the Lord, but what we need to be reminded of is the danger in being stingy towards God, the Source and Provider of all blessings. God allows Satan, the devourer, access into the lives of those who decide to be stingy towards Him.

You’ve stopped trusting your own judgment and respecting yourself. But I have good news for you: beginning to trust and respect your own judgment again is easier than it sounds.
