That holy, glorious Spirit of God lives in us, His blood-bought children, and is our constant companion, helper, guide, and friend. He knows the heart of God and is always making intercession for us according to the will of God.

“Gracefulness has been defined to be the outward expression of the inward harmony of the soul.” (William Hazlitt) In Hazlitt’s eyes, grace derives from our own state of inner peace. When our insides are peaceful and harmonious, then the divine nature of grace flows freely in our external life. And on the flip side,when we are not living our lives from a soulful place, grace can get blocked or might flow in fits and starts.

If you’ve ever thought about becoming more aware, more conscious, or wanted to live with more inner peace, NOW is the time. If you’ve ever felt an inner nudge to do something important with your life, NOW is the time. If you’ve ever wanted to make a difference in the world or be of service to others, NOW is the time. If you’ve ever wished you could be your best self, NOW is the time.

So how do you hold up in a crisis situation? Are you the level-headed one who goes immediately into action and knows exactly what to do? Are you the one who runs around like a chicken with its head cut off, screaming and yelling and making no sense? Or are you the one who faints dead away?

At the end of Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonian Christians, he gives out some practical advice in almost staccato format. Some thought he might be coming to the end of his parchment or paper supply and he had things he just had to say. Do not do anything to stifle the Holy Spirit. Life is fragile at times, so handle with prayer! When we help the weak we will meet all kinds of problems and issues. There are those who can never say “No” to certain matters and they end up in one mess after another, but we must never abandon these casualties to the enemy. When the fire falls there will invariably be sparks. We are not to rush for the extinguisher but rather to pick up a pair of tongs and keep things in place. These phrases are real pearls and here is the string to string them all together.

If you have problems with being a gossip, telling things you shouldn’t, then stop! You will never gain the trust of anyone if you are a gossip. You will lose the respect people should have for you if you are a talebearer. Is that what you want to be known for? Is that what a child of God should be doing?

There is only one creative power in the universe and that power is thought. This power comes from the Mind of God and flows into the Quantum Ocean where you can attract it out and into your aura.

My distaste for technology may be due to the fact that I grew up in the country, no access to the outside world through telephone, internet, or television.  My kids are aghast as I tell them the story of Mommy’s techie-less childhood, pity filling their eyes as I speak of a life isolated.  Even as I try to reassure them that I liked it that way, they shake their heads in disbelief, appalled that their grandparents would submit my siblings and I to a life without the windows of the world looking in.

First Egypt, now Libya, and of course, the continued conflict between Israelis and Palestinians; as well as many other areas of discord in the Middle East – What can we contribute as individuals, who are all the way on the other side of the world? If we’re bothered at all by what’s going on, how can we feel more helpful and empowered to make a difference? We may say, “I am only one person. I have little effect, so why try?” But I believe we’re much more powerful than we think and our behavior is both influential and significant! What we choose to do and think counts!
