What makes a prayer effective? Is it the level of sincerity of the person praying, does it depend on the power of the deity being prayed to, or does it have to do with the number of individuals gathering simultaneously with a special prayer request? This article looks at the elements of effective prayer and what makes a prayer effective.

It is a fact that the Bible has always been and always will be the best source of strength for humans, at least in the cases of believers. There are a number of Bible verses that offer solace to those who are going through desolation and are down-in-the dumps emotionally. The ever reliable Psalms always comes to the rescue of anyone who does not know whom or where to turn to.

Admittedly, there will be stretches when you will not necessarily feel that life is being fair to you. During these times, many of you are having your mettle tested to see just how resilient you can or want to be. There is an important distinction to be made between “can” and “want.”

What is that bigger picture or purpose God might have for you right now? Could it be that you need to turn a generous eye toward someone you’ve been ignoring whether or not on purpose?

Most people are spiritually asleep. I mean that they are not using their spiritual abilities or powers as they should. They are like people who are indeed alive but do not move around the house, do not perform any work because they are still in bed sleeping and still dreaming. Here are 3 ways whereby you can experience a spiritual awakening within you so that you can wake up spiritually and do the works of the spirit.

In part 1 and part 2 of this article I looked at many different research experiments showing that thought can affect water. Now, I’m going to do a little experiment of my own.

In times like these, we need to know how to engage a power higher than ourselves, and that is the power of the Almighty God. We are facing a myriad of situations and circumstances which seem to be difficult, if not impossible on our own. No one seems to be exempt from the challenges of life, and as things in the world appear to be getting worse, we must depend upon God more than ever before for protection, guidance and wisdom. Prayer is the vehicle by which we approach God. It is communication with Him. Through prayer we can find solace and comfort, help and hope, regardless of how hard things get. Life just gets better when we know God and when we humble ourselves before Him, asking for His direction. He has promised to do so if we acknowledge Him in all of our ways.
