In this day and age out this simple question is in the minds of many of us who believe in God. We follow God, we have enough faith, we pray, we do everything that we know how to do in our prayer life but God has still not answered our prayers. Or worse, God’s answer is no.

There is nothing one can buy, achieve, own, rent, vacation to, or decorate that can fill up that hunger inside for a sense of real lasting fulfillment and connection to something greater; that there is no other person – not a lover, partner, friend, nor child on this planet that can continuously fill us up. A Spiritual practice, like people, can come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Do what it takes to learn the practices and prayers that allow you to tolerate the inevitable triggers coming from the outside – your husband or wife or children or boss or the driver in the next lane, without being inwardly hooked or without screaming back.

What is the Difference Between Religion and Spirituality? That’s a great question and to put it simply, religion is more of a verb.

With the speed of the Universe’s evolution, each of us are being called to awaken. Our souls hear the call. It might possibly be painful, this transformation, yet it is time. If we are to realize our highest potential, we must listen to what our souls already know.

PRAYING IS A DIRECT ACT OF OBEDIENCE. Perhaps prayer is the supreme act of obedience. Because prayer essentially means we are surrendering our will to know and to do God’s will, prayer is about as close as we can get to an act of faith.

As nature has her seasons, so too does our soul. And while no one wants to be unhappy and we prefer not to dwell too long in the more difficult darkness, balance by its very nature means without the dark, we don’t know the light.

What goes around does indeed come back around. Karma is the law of cause and effect, the law of balance and of true justice. But karma is not a form of punishment. That is a perception of the ego. Instead, try and look at it as a spiritual lesson, a way in which we learn that our actions have consequences.
