When the gospel was first introduced to me, I felt like my life for the first time had purpose and meaning and that I was invincible because of my new relationship with God. The more I studied God’s word and applied it to my life, the more I wanted to become a preacher.

I’m not a big fan of simplistic platitudes in troubled circumstances. During times of comfort it’s easy to spout inspirational wisdom about finding opportunity within pain. It’s quite another thing when someone you love suffers and you can still say, “I want to remember this time.”

Sacred Activism is the combining of the mystic’s passion for God with the activist’s passion for justice to help and nurture every living thing.
