Awakening To the divine is a phenomenon that is sweeping across the globe awakening everyone one in it’s path. The presence of this wonderful energy is not for just a chosen few. Divine energy is for everyone on this earth.

The existence of the Evil Eye has sparked many fears in both ancient and modern society. Kabbalah dictates that man has the capability to reach limitless potential and growth by following the precepts of the positive forces that allowed God to create this world. But the gaze of the Evil Eye is filled up with negative energies that can bring us down — anger, hatred, jealousy, and fear will cause the person to gaze at you with loathing that will cause negative energies to swirl around you.

Once again a church marquee on 200 St. has got me thinking … this one reads: “I have sometimes regretted my words, but never my silences” It made start thinking about the beauty of silence.

There is something spiritual and magic about old book stores and libraries. Maybe is just the smell of old books bringing back forgotten childhood memories, or maybe there is a deeper spiritual connection I can’t explain, but every time I am in a library I feel connected to a higher wisdom and my creativity and inspiration take flight.

Christmas decorations have been up since the last week of September, even though Thanksgiving is still weeks away, so I thought it would be fun to get a jump on New Years 2009. Now, I don’t care too much about New Year’s resolutions. I don’t make them and most people I know never follow through with them.

I have a friend who is very politically savvy. He recently shared with me an interesting perspective on the overused terms “conservative” and “liberal.” He looked up the definitions of these words in a Webster’s Dictionary circa 1988. As he was sharing his findings with me, the most amazing thing happened: I decided to write an article.

My favorite rendition of the song Amazing Grace was not done by the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Nope, the most memorable performance was heard on my balcony during a heat wave in Hamilton in 1982. To say that my husband’s and my neck of the woods was tough would have been an understatement. A few houses down the street and across the road there was what is commonly known as a “flop-house” – a dilapidated building that was home to a number of people with serious drug and alcohol addictions.

I have said that in the larger basic reality that underlies the physical system of reality, there is, as simply as I can put it, no time and no space. The closest analogy I can use that would be understandable would be that of your dream reality.
