Children of World War II Veterans
Many men return home from World War II in a mental and spiritual maze. However, it’s clear that many of them, all shapes, sizes, colors and backgrounds had one thing on their mind. And that was to do what ever was necessary to make sure this type of thing never happen again.
To Kill a Modern Day ProphetThis story begins in a small Texas town somewhere between “the middle of nowhere” and “welcome to hicksville.” “Texas Justice” is not the same as “Bible Justice”. Since when is preaching the message a crime?
Security (or certainty) is a very elusive concept, yet most people tend to crave it in a very intense way. From farm and factory workers to professional athletes making millions of dollars a year, we tend to hear the same refrain; “I just want a job or career situation that allows me to provide security for both myself and my family.” If we were to dig a little deeper into that desire, we would find that a strongly held fear about what the future holds underlies it.
Monday’s Are Ok, Too? Aren’t They?Mondays are ok too… aren’t they? So, why is it that we give Monday’s such a bad wrap? I don’t get it. I have come to look forward to things that challenge me, and Mondays just don’t mean anything special to me. It could be because I own my own business… well, actually my beautiful wife Cornelia owns her own business and she kindly allows me to work with her. 🙂
Ask Me That AgainHave you ever talked to yourself? Well, I know you have because we all do. So, have you ever wondered who was actually talking; like, whose voice were you really hearing; how many voices were speaking; how many potential perspectives were available? I mean: Who’s asking, who’s listening, and then who’s observing the whole event? Am I asking or listening or answering? Am I the observer? If not me… who?
Well, So What?Ever had one of those days when everything goes really, really well? I have had that kind of day and I started thinking: So what?
I have always believed that I have the ability to make something better than it was before I got involved, and I wish I could say that it is true in every case. That belief originally sprang from my need to control everything. In my controlling, I actually thought I was making improvement… oops.
Women and Money – Spiritual Principles About Money and MidlifeOne of the major truths of the Spiritual life is that there is ALWAYS more. It is the nature of Spirit to expand and our nature to continually be seeking SOMETHING MORE. We don’t have to be frustrated in the search. Just like there are laws that govern mathematics, music, physics and the physical universe, so there are spiritual laws that teach us how to prosper.
Monday’s Are Still OKI think a lot, and as I think about Mondays, I am still unsure why we look at that one day differently than the other six. Days are gifts. Ask a terminally ill person.
Spirituality and Depression – Why Should a Journey to the Light Cause Darkness and Despair? Why do so many people who are active New Age and spiritual seekers experience depression? Could it be that depression is an integral aspect of the spiritual awakening process?

All is Well – Really it IsI have a Facebook page and I do a little thought for the day ramble. As I was writing, I had the passing temptation to just copy it over to today’s blog, grab a beer, find a cool spot for my skinny butt, and let the world fade away.
