The words “Thank you” are two of the most powerful words you can every say. They’re words that convey heartfelt appreciation and gratefulness which when rightly expressed leave in the hearts of the recipient an indelible impression of your sincere gratitude. Sadly, some people find it difficult to say “thank you” even when occasion warrants it. As a Christian, it matters that you express gratitude and manifest a grateful spirit at all times.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:1). The scripture reveals two categories of Christians: the “spiritual Christian,” and the “carnal and spirit-filled, the Apostle Paul described them as carnal. In other words, they weren’t spiritually mature.

But I say unto, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:13-37). In the realm of the spirit, words are extremely important. That’s why the Lord Jesus said “by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”.

A few weeks ago I came across an astonishing lecture that was given by a woman named Jill Bolte Taylor, PhD. also known as The Singin’ Scientist. The talk she gave was titled My Stroke of Insight and she presented it at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference that is held yearly in Monterey California.

If you are to make excellence a habit, you must thoroughly examine your actions and see whether they match what you desire. If they do not, you must make the choice to respond differently than you have in the past. Each person has faults, but the Christian has the power to overcome them through the Blood of Jesus. He died on the cross so that we might be forgiven of sin and can have the power to defeat Satan in our lives.

Going to church has often been compared to attending a football game. But a better analogy would be to make church services the gridiron’s huddles. What you do there determines whether you win the game, but the huddle is not the game. Let’s take a closer look at the huddles of four teams. Which understands how to use their allotted 40 seconds to win the game?

Does God change the laws of nature in response to your prayer or faith? If you pray hard enough will God change things for you? If you believe in God and pray, is that enough?
