We are enthusiastic about pouring concrete, macadam, and steel over what were once natural landscapes. We lose little time cutting interstate highways and planting shopping centers, shopping malls, and golf courses on perfectly good land.

The spinning of the mind which we consider to be right knowledge is constituted of what we see through the spinnings around a sense object, then inferencing through a spinning of the mental processes around the input of the sense object, and finally the spinning of the mental processes around the validation process from scripture, authoritative teachers, gurus, accepted authority, trusted friends, or even consensus reality (meaning science) – all of which are external.

Can you trust God to protect you and preserve you, if you still have work, which He wants you to do for Him? It is a simple question but the answer is not all that easy to put into practice.

Never postpone what is crucial, vital and so very important. Postponing coming to real faith in Jesus Christ is dangerous. I’ll think about it to-morrow. We do not know if we will have a to-morrow. There are fears and emotions here which we should do all we can to avoid. Procrastination and postponement can be highly dangerous decisions.

Grace is present everywhere. It is the underlying sense of a loving, supportive and life enhancing power that resides deep within us and at the same time pervades our entire universe. How do we raise the sail and and invite grace to flow in in our lives?

Who “you” are is nothing of what is arising, even though it is flowing through all of the arisings, all of manifestation and un-manifestation. There is no contradiction or paradox to any of this.

A gift is not always treasured, but faith as a treasure is an everlasting fortune that few possess. We are living in one of the most challenging times in human history. Answers to life problems and issues have proven evasive to say the least. For many are searching for hope, only to realize that faith lies within each of us to discover who we are in the wake of societies’ ills. In each instance of hope, and a more everlasting term “faith,” each could give rise to FEAR, “False Evidence Appearing Real.”

Many times, we are surrounded by so much clutter in this information overloaded age and we begin to lose the clarity, focus, and original purpose of our lives. But going back into the foundational teachings of the Bible, you can learn that your #1 calling in life is fairly simply living & sharing the Gospel to others.

And yet that familiarity masks what a unique and unconventional document “A Course in Miracles” is. The Course goes into the category of channeled material, yet most such material seems to ride the waves of popular currents of thought, telling us more or less what we expect to hear: “You are God.” “You create your own reality.” “You can have it all.”

To find true purpose in life, you must look OUTSIDE yourself. That’s right. When I was in college, I would be reading and seeking all kinds of books to discover what my purpose in life was all about. It seemed like every book I read seemed to help me find a purpose by looking within myself.
