“WHAT is truth?” said Pilate to Jesus (John 18:38). This, right here, is the summation of truth. There is no truth where there is no wisdom. Truth and wisdom correlate, in terms of reality, as never two did before. Truth and wisdom.

So there are two components in view: one of awareness and the other of action. Faith may be reduced down to these two in the presence of truth.

We are often told that we “should” meditate. But who has the time to sit still for an hour every day? As a parent of a nearly 2 year old boy, I know it’s almost impossible to do that in my daily life.

I know some of you saw this title and thought “oh there is some juicy RFRA talk here!” sorry to disappoint; this is not about RFRA, or at least not directly, but if the shoe fits, by all means! Ha!

When our belief system is shattered, we tend to doubt our direct experience with Higher Guidance, especially when it cannot be accepted by our friends, family, and peers or easily explained by mainstream science. At times like this we must remember that every apocalypse ends with rebirth, and that our traumas and challenges serve as catalysts for spiritual growth. Ultimately, our Higher Guidance is co-created through our ability to have faith in its existence. How we label and perceive it is a personal exercise in shaping and expanding our own reality.

You have been reading self-help, motivational literature and indeed they are helpful especially when times get rough, as they are wont to be occasionally. But the Holy Scriptures have solutions unmatched by the best secular literature of all times. Think of the Psalm of Faith and its effect on your mental and spiritual wellbeing if you approach it with the right mindset: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

PROPHESIERS, exorcists, and healers alike may or may not be close to God. There is no link between those who are used by God and those who are God’s. We may do all God’s work and still we may be estranged of him. God may still choose to use us.

TRUSTWORTHINESS is something we can safely attribute the reliable and diligent ones who stand the test of sustaining faithfulness over time. These people are real people. There’s no bias or waywardness about them. They are diligently reliable over their life span. And, yet, there are some who appear to warrant such virtuous designation, then they fall from grace and betray the confidences people had in them (falls of which we are all so easily capable of).

HARROWING is the reality for every single one of us; how do we know if we are going to heaven? We do the will of him who calls us – that “him” is God and God alone. We do no one else’s will; we do his alone.
