We are coming to the time of the year when are children can get the “I want, or I need, or must have” for Christmas. There is so much pressure from everywhere to buy and meet our children’s every need and want. We often compare ourselves to others who have more than us not realizing how truly blessed we are.

As a new school year starts I am reminded of the importance of praying for our children and every area of their lives. Sometimes you may wonder what different things you should be praying for in your children’s lives.

The goals of yesterday are now only mist, slowly rising from our heated ambitions, meaning nothing, marching toward that anonymity that we recognize in the pit of our being, but hide from because we are not quite ready yet. But it’s harder to hide now, running out of places to hide, running out of reasons to hide. We stand naked more and more.

We as women often are good at putting ourselves down or not seeing ourselves as God sees us. I want us to examine some of the voices we often hear in our heads (no we are not crazy) to see if we are listening to the father of lies instead of God.

Do you aim to please people or God? What does the Bible say about whom we are to please?

We are bombarded daily by messages about the world’s way: greed, watch out for #1, don’t let anyone walk all over you, and make sure your children are the fastest, smartest, etc. So, how do we begin to become unpolluted by the world? How do we become unstained?

Very few people have the gift of being able to act as a bridge between this world and the next. Psychic mediums who have this ability take their responsibility of relaying messages from the dead to the living very seriously.
