What honours we bestow on our earthly founders, though the ones not redeeming due credit go without any honour. Jesus is not only the real founder, but he founded everything. And still he’s pinned to the Calvary tree! Would there be a more dubious honour?

This is the season for Christmas programs. We love the carols and the cute costumes, but we often get so concerned with the presentation that we forget the meaning behind it. With my warped sense of humor, I imagine what the first Christmas might have looked like if humans produced it.

The condition to ask is in abiding in Christ. Thereby only do we have the right to ask and depend on that being done. If one experiences continual prayer, with no answers, then the fault is with us or with God. We put in the condition “if it be Thy will.” Thus explaining the lack of answer as being that we don’t know God’s will.

To be spiritually aware simply means that one is more adept at listening to and nurturing the nature of their spirit. Granted that is sort of a vague description, but let me share a story with you that may help you understand what spiritual awareness is from a personal perspective.

Their working and prayer began a new work of God based on the New Testament of Christ’s death and resurrection and ascension. It is the prayer of faith that brings the power for the work. Since Christ went to the Father, they were now His body on earth. As the Head, He works from heaven, for and through His body, the Church. It would have been natural to expect that only lesser works could be accomplished once Jesus was in heaven, but this was not what He predicted.

Mother Mary was already an Ascended Master at the time of her life with Jesus – as was St John, the Baptist. She feels it is very important we realise what her Ascension experience was like into mastery. In the life she made her ascension, she was a woman living a nomadic desert life with her tribe in the Middle Eastern area. Remember this was more than 2000 years ago, prior to her life with Jesus.

People worry so much about dying that they fail to really live. There is a gift that is received when Death is confronted. Paradoxically, the gift of that confrontation is Life.

Do you have daily affirmations that you recite? Do you remind yourself of some statements on a frequent basis? The statements may be affirmations you constantly say so as to achieve some goals in relation to health, wealth and success.

There’s a part of me that doesn’t care about you. It’s not here to solve your problems, lend you an ear, or serve you in any other way. It looks out for me and me alone. Isn’t that a terrible thing? Actually, I don’t think so. In fact, I think acknowledging I have a “selfish” part – and, sometimes, doing what that part wants – is key to experiencing, and expressing, real compassion for people.

You may have heard the old story of Sisyphus – the man condemned by the gods to push a boulder up a hill, only to see it roll back down and be forced to start over, for all eternity. I think this story is a wonderful illustration of how human beings often suffer. We’re convinced that, in some way, we need to be better than we are, and we’re constantly struggling to improve. But somehow, we never seem to “get there” – perfection dangles just beyond our reach.

Have you ever heard of this phenomenon before? If you’re a fan of the alternative media web pages, like myself, you will no doubt have heard of it, especially via one or two of the gurus who are very active at present with their teaching seminars hoping to wake people up from their dumbed down Matrix slumber. Now, on the surface, this is all very fine, but as with all of these things there is always another agenda bubbling away in the background or sometimes it’s openly in the foreground with those who are more brazen with their infinite consciousness ideas. The thing is, is there is a spiritual dimension to all this stuff, and if so what spirit is it and who is ultimately behind it?
