Last month a father and son were kicked out of a Nebraska-Iowa state football game. They had done all the right things. They had bought the tickets, they had great seats. They showed up, took there seats and started watching the game. After a little bit, they were kicked out.

Learning to operate in the Spirit if God seems difficult at times but only because we make it so. He shows us continually how to walk in the Spirit and operate with the kingdom principles. This revelation astounded me because of its simplicity. It is the spirit that gives life to everything.

Respite. Quiet. Getaway. Vacation. What does a retreat mean to you? I have found the break in routine to be rejuvenating to relationships, as well as in recuperation.

The talk on the lips of the American public these days is the economy. I’ve been chuckling every weeknight during The Tonight Show as Jay Leno breaks into a short burst of one-liners that begin with “The economy’s getting bad I tell you…” The forecasts for the next 18-24 months do not look good for the American economy to say the least.

How many times have we as humans been accused of saying or doing something we didn’t do? How many times have we done something for one reason and it was understood in another negative way? The communicator becomes agitated because they have mistakenly offended someone.

2009 – what will the new year bring? It has been said that the new year and new numbers bring a different vibration. We need all the help we can get! These are trying times and the possibility of fear overtaking our lives.

Just for one night, on Christmas Eve, allow yourself to get lost in the suspension of disbelief. Forget everything that you’ve been told about Santa not existing and believe, just for one night, that he not only exists but is as real as you and I are. Look up into the starry sky with your little ones and search for Rudolph’s red nose as he, along with eight other reindeer, flies around world pulling Santa’s red sleigh, rushing through the night to deliver presents right on time.

If I had to put a numerical value upon the reasons that some people are successful with the readings I offer and eventual spiritual growth and change, and others are not, it would have to equate to the level of open-mindedness that they have, exhibit and act upon. It is not will or strength that makes for changes initially, but instead those factors drive the direction that an open mind determines. It is not love or wonder either, unless they are new by-products of the actions taken by an open mind.

Recently, on a discussion board, I posted this question about this film. What about the concepts in the film, (dark matter, multiverses, spontaneous duplication and “mindful” creation) specifically offered by highly respected scientists about the order of things as seen through their eyes as they attempt to discover how our world developed? Several prominent scientists/mathematicians, and one journalist/investigator (I suppose that is the best thing to call him) participated.

To me, this is perhaps the most complex part of religion, worship, etc. Very difficult to understand and deal with because it has so much more to do with our personalities and needs. I have and am still learning and trying to better comprehend this subject because it flies in the face of the basis for choosing religion, or not in my opinion.
